1. Cut 5 pieces of cord

2. Tie them together with a knot at the end.

3. Place your string connection in the centre of your hand and place the ball on it.

4. Pass each string around the ball and tie a knot.

5. And that’s it! Now all you have to do is hang your grease ball from a tree or on your balcony.

Once you have customised and installed your biodiversity bubble, proceed to install the application

1. Scan the QR code and install the app

Each BetterflyBox contains a QR code and a unique barcode

When you first use it, you’ll see 5 screens.

  • Welcome to the BetterflyBox application
  • Activate your Box and install your Eco-Bubble
  • Activating the geolocation of your bubble

3. Configuring your BetterflyBox

1. Create your account

You can create an anonymous account, use your Facebook account or your Apple account linked to your phone (in the case of an iPhone).

Inside each BetterflyBox is a unique barcode. Please scan or copy it into the input field.

3. Confirm the position of your bubble

Using your finger, specify the position and click on “Confirm bubble position”.

4. Fill in the form

Please complete the form so that we can refine the scientific analysis of your observations.

With your BetterflyBox, you can build your own insect nesting box. This kit provides you with everything you need to create a welcoming habitat for the beneficial insects in your garden.

Here’s how to assemble your nest box:

Before you start, make sure you have all the elements of the kit to hand. It includes wood with pre-drilled holes, nails, glue and detailed instructions.

Following these pictorial instructions, carefully place the timbers in the correct position, and assemble them using the fixings supplied in the kit.

Be sure to fasten securely to ensure that the nest box stays in place even in windy conditions.
