With the app, you can photograph, identify, and document insects, birds, and new floral species that appear in your micro-ecosystem.

Thanks to our upcoming Gaming features, you’ll have fun becoming a biodiversity champion in your city and connecting with a community of nature enthusiasts near you.

In partnership with the European open data hub Copernicus, we monitor the growth of life in the areas where our bubbles are located via satellite and analyze the impact on local biodiversity with you.

1. Cut 5 pieces of cord

2. Tie them together with a knot at the end.

3. Place your string connection in the centre of your hand and place the ball on it.

4. Pass each string around the ball and tie a knot.

5. And that’s it! Now all you have to do is hang your grease ball from a tree or on your balcony.

When you first use it, you’ll see 5 screens.

  • Welcome to the BetterflyBox application
  • Activate your Box and install your Eco-Bubble
  • Activating the geolocation of your bubble
  • Participate and contribute to the repopulation of birds and insects
  • Share your photos on the application

3. Configuring your BetterflyBox

1. Create your account

You can create an anonymous account, use your Facebook account or your Apple account linked to your phone (in the case of an iPhone).

2. Scan the unique barcode

Inside each BetterflyBox is a unique barcode. Please scan or copy it into the input field.

3. Confirm the position of your bubble

Using your finger, specify the position and click on “Confirm bubble position”.

4. Fill in the form

Please complete the form so that we can refine the scientific analysis of your observations.
