During an evening organized by the Student Entrepreneurs Club of the Solvay Brussels School, we had the pleasure of interacting with passionate students. Their curiosity for entrepreneurship and the environment led to rich discussions, particularly on the importance of biodiversity, often overlooked but essential for our future. The students present showed a keen interest in the issues related to the protection of nature, demonstrating their desire to play an active role in the preservation of our planet.
We also presented BetterflyBox, our application that allows everyone to contribute to the monitoring of biodiversity by sharing photos of fauna and flora. This simple but powerful tool captivated the audience, who recognized its potential to encourage collective and civic participation in an essential cause. These young minds quickly grasped the importance of this tool, and we encouraged them to imagine innovative technological solutions to raise awareness about the protection of nature.
We discussed concrete examples of the positive impact that an engaged community can have, such as the discovery of rare or endangered species thanks to observations shared on BetterflyBox. Some students even suggested original ideas, such as integrating educational games into the application or developing partnerships with local associations to amplify the reach of our actions.
This evening was also an opportunity to reflect on how entrepreneurship can be a powerful lever to respond to environmental challenges. Together, we explored the close links between innovation, social responsibility and commitment to nature, subjects that clearly fascinate this new generation of budding entrepreneurs.
Get involved too! Download BetterflyBox, share your observations and help us preserve our environment. Every action counts, and it is thanks to individual contributions that we will be able to build a future that is more respectful of biodiversity.
