Concerned about the environment, Betterfly wants to be one of the players helping biodiversity in Europe. Through its environmental practices, the company positions itself on 3 factors: environmental, societal and governmental.
The world is getting involved. The European Commission allocates €350 million annually to biodiversity, of which Belgium receives €26 million for educational and awareness-raising initiatives. An EU study estimates that these investments could generate up to €300 billion in economic benefits. The European Parliament has also adopted a law for the restoration of nature. With a view to its presidency of the EU in 2024, Belgium is proposing an innovative strategy for urban biodiversity.
